Save Our Planet By Planting Trees

without comments

As a consequence of cutting down trees, we lose up to six billion trees yearly. There is so much that is created from trees and this means there is a huge requirement in the marketplace. Writing paper and household toilet papers are an example of this, as well as the wood used to build homes. And unfortunately, we need the things that the trees produce but we can do something about the depletion of our forests.

While I know that we have Arbor Day, and all of us should plant a tree every Arbor Day, that is only taking care of a small part of the problem. The truth is, trees are not being planted by many people. If they did, we would be all ready to go.

Did you know that there are approximately 7 billion people living on the planet? That is merely an estimation because you can’t keep an exact count. The number of trees globally would be restored if each individual went out and planted a tree on Arbor Day. We are aware that this is unlikely to occur.

If you wish to preserve our ecosystems, planting trees is a good step that you can take. I am not limiting this to planting trees on just one day each year. I am proposing that you plant a tree more or less once every month or even once per week. The reason is because someone should make up for all of those who are utilizing our resources but refuse to plant a tree for whatever reason.

On Arbor Day, the number of trees planted is only between 8 and 15 million. On that basis, we nonetheless need to take that number up by a further 5 billion. Unfortunately, things are not improving.

A complete answer is required that still encourages men and women to plant trees but I would like to propose the following. If a law could be passed that every time a tree is felled by lumber companies, they then had to plant two new ones, this could actually make a huge difference.

We will need to continue to face this problem ourselves until there is the political willpower to make these changes. Keeping those tree numbers up isn’t going to really take a great deal of effort. If every month, approximately 10% of people in the world could plant a tree, that would compensate for the numbers being felled per year. On average, that would be around 7 billion trees being planted each year. For the number of trees we need to return to, an effective net gain of 1 billion trees will be the means to achieve this goal.

Planting a tree is a way people can save the earth. Keep in mind that we merely need 10% of the world’s population to commit to this. You’re the only one who can decide if you want to help out.
